Summary/Abstract: As conclusive thoughts on the issue of borders, it is argued that the main legal and political border of today’s EU foreign policy is a conceptual one with very positive effect. The author of the following analysis takes the view that the concept of multilateralism appears not only as a constraining legal limit for the organisation but more and more as one of the key factors of recent CFSP success. Nevertheless, the volatile perceptions on the matter lead to three practical recommendations for the European Union.
