Summary/Abstract: We are living in a transition period when an industrial age has been changed by an information age, when the most important factors are not capital, work or natural resources. Knowledge, information and technologies are becoming strategic resources of the state, new technologies are changing usual professions in the market, and changes in culture, politics and orher fields are taking place. The problem of the research: in the age of information specialists are becoming important, control of information often decides work results. The aim of the research: demand of specialists rendering information services in Šiauliai city.
