FUNCTIONAL-SEMANTIC CATEGORY OF APOSIOPESIS

Summary/Abstract: The meaning of default is shown in the article in the historical background aspect of its linguistics studying and, in particular, in Russian philology; as independent functional and semantic category of Russian. Modern features of this category’s existing in Russian discourse of the XXI century second decade are described in the article. The research theoretical points are followed by the linguistic analysis of semantics default’s functioning illustrative material (on A. S. Pushkin’s and F. M. Dostoyevsky’s creativity material and usage examples from modern Russian discourse).
