Summary/Abstract: Considering the imaginary as a projection of reality, of collective memory, the issue of our study is represented by the woman's image and role within a certain culture and society, which is in our case the Christian Pentecostal women before 1989. We are first of all interested, in their subjective experiences that they lived in different contexts. Thus, the oral testimonies here concentrate around the role that the Pentecostal women had within the private and community's life, their relationship to the world they lived in (the relationships established within the family - with the husbands and children - and with those outside the family, the religious community, the society). Considering these, we succeeded in drawing a pretty clear image of their life in general, of their way of thinking and relating to things and facts. The final part of this article brings up front the issue of "the other's image", meaning the way the Christian Pentecostal men perceived the Christian women.
