Summary/Abstract: In this article we tried to approach a few moments in the history of the Greek-Catholic Church, the way they are presented in some oral testimonies, during the first decade after the Second World War. I think that a rigorous historical research on The Greek-Catholic Church besides the critical interpretation of the documentary materials - that refer to the Cults' repressive or control institutions - should also include oral investigations. Thus, the conclusions drawn after analyzing the archive documents can be enhanced by these oral investigations. Before applying to oral resources historians were tempted to give complete credit to Bishop Ioan Suciu's anticommunist preaches that were typed by the Security's agents, whereas oral testimonies suppose certain prudence. Even if this oral source is subjective, it has a better credibility in several cases, compared to the Security's informational materials, and often fills in a documentary gap.
