Training in the Military Academies in the USSR

Summary/Abstract: The USSR is training its military leaders in up-to-date institutions, specialized according to weapons, as well as to military, technical and political considerations. At the top are the military academies and other military institutions of equal rank, and also chairs in ordinary universities. In most of the academies final diplomas can also be obtained by extension. Academic degrees may be acquired. Officers from other socialist countries are admitted.
