Summary/Abstract: Slovenia has been trying to close a dark chapter of its World War II history for more than five years. On 19 June, when parliament finally adopted a long-awaited law on mass graves intended to be a symbolic effort of reconciliation between the partisani who fought against the German occupiers and the domobranci Nazi quislings, some hoped it had been done.
