Summary/Abstract: The survey aims to find common ground in the process of motivating staff with theories of social learning and in particular the theory of Julian Rotter. Reason for this type of study provides the basis understanding that motivation should not be viewed only as a consequence of the action of the management but also as the ability of employees to understand, learn and permanently to repeat a desired behavior. Using a set of motivational (reinforcement) and cognitive (expectations) variables would lead to a desired goal or away from it and the focus is on what behavior once learned, will reappear in a given situation.
