Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the new idioms in Russian of nowadays. New researches show, that the changes in the idiomatic fund of Russian are significant. The new idioms appear on the basis of professional slangs, many idioms are borrowed from English and also from Russian criminal slang. Some of these processes are similar to contemporary Czech phraseology.
