Summary/Abstract: A T-SHIRT WITH A DEAD DEITY Summary One of the most typical phenomena of contemporary fashion is the use of writing. The prints on clothing may be divided into two types: (1) those which refer to phenomena, people and situations which are not part of the horizon of direct experience of those who buy and wear these clothes, (2) those which consist in simulation of writing. Social attraction of writing on clothing results not from the meaning, whose vehicle it could be, but from the more general “power” underpinning the act of writing. Trans. M. Bucholc
