Summary/Abstract: Review of Alina Molisak’s book Judaizm jako los. Rzecz o Bogdanie Wojdowskim [‘Judaism as a Fate. On Bogdan Wojdowski’], (Warsaw 2004). The review’s author points out to the fact that Ms. Molisak’s book is the first, and so successful indeed, attempt at a comprehensive discussion of the output of the man who wrote Chleb rzucony umarłym [‘Bread cast to the dead’]. The most essential values of the biography have been emphasized – including, in the first place, presentation of fragments of a hitherto unpublished diary by Wojdowski and, second, presence of Judaism as the key to analysis of his works and outlook.
