Distorted Identities in the Republic of Moldova

Summary/Abstract: The author, an expert at the Institute of Public Policies in Chisinau strongly disclaims the adoption by the Moldavian parliament of the document “ Conception on the National Policy” corroborated to the idea of promoting the Russian language as a second official language within the boundaries of the Moldavian State. The author also rejects the validity of the concept of Russian speaking population in respect to all non-Romanian speaking individuals in the republic of Moldova and argues that The Republic of Moldova is not a multinational state but a multi ethnic one.
