French Echoes in George Bariţiu’s Correspondence (II)

Summary/Abstract: In as far as the French echoes registered by the successive numbers of the papers founded by George Bariţiu, “Gazeta de Transilvania”or its literary supplement “Foaie pentru minte, inimǎ şi literaturǎ”, we could observe and register a certain increase of the number of French occurences in the articles signed by George Bariţiu or by his collaborators. In as far as the correspondence is concerned, the information talking about France is rather poor, even limited. Only the field of linguistics or the one of French books send to French lexical or bibliographical realities present in George Bariţiu’s epistolary discourse. Otherwise, France and French people appear quite sporadically and their presence is rather poor in the correspondence.
