Summary/Abstract: Oral history has only recently been constituted as а separate subject-matter of social sciences in Bulgaria. In the present article а single aspect of oral history is discussed – its role for the study of everyday life history. In the course of а research study, titled „The Unwritten History” and started in 1993, а primary stock of fifty oral stories has been formed by now. It already gives the main questions to be answered when recording material about everyday history. The author’s aim is to put to discussion and work out some methodological problems. The most important ones among them concern the idealization of past and the manifestation of subjective attitudes.
