ONE STEP FORWARD FOR SOCIAL ECONOMY. IDEAS – INCLUSION AND DEVELOPMENT BY MEANS OF SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Summary/Abstract: In 2015, the Caritas Center of the Diocese of Iasi became active in the social economy (SE) sector by provision of training and by specific involvement on the product market. The experience was actually represented by a project focused on diversity: diversity as regards locations – the North East and South East regions, as well as services and products, all of them being presented in detail below. The major challenge was to maintain unity in this diversity, by promoting Caritas values and vision, as our social enterprises ensured increased visibility to our organization. For the future, our main goal will be represented by development of a management covering always greater areas, such as marketing and quality assurance. At the same time, human resources management within the organization as a whole will have to ensure training of personnel in these areas – which are new to some of the employees – or attracting people who acquired such skills in school or at previous jobs. In this continuous combination of economic and social sectors, the Caritas Center of the Diocese of Iasi will try to find a balance, this being in fact a goal for the society as a whole: a balance between social assistance and the innovative aspect ensured by social economy.
