Significance identify and punishment perpetrators of robberies in the prevention robbery crime in Bosnia and Herzegovinia

Summary/Abstract: This paper discusses the importance of certainty of punishment andsentencing policy as a preventive effect on reducing robberies in Bosniaand Herzegovina, i.e. to reduce the motivation of robbers to committingthis type of crime. Here the author takes the view that the certainty ofpunishment and strict penal politics one of the most important mechanismsto reduce the motivation of perpetrators of offenses in Bosnia andHerzegovina, and it is the only aspect of primary prevention that can beimplemented without fundamental social change. Author it is also, onthe basis of analysis of robbery in Bosnia and Herzegovina and TuzlaCanton in the period from 2008 to 2012 found, concludes that the percentageof robbery crimes solved and penal politics does not contributeto the prevention of this type of crime in Bosnia and Herzegovina, andthat the perpetrators these crimes face a relatively low risk of beingidentified and prosecuted or adequately punished and which directlyaffects the number and type of robberies
