Summary/Abstract: Paweł Hertz, Zygmunt Mycielski, Henryk Krzeczkowski, Juliusz Żuławski, Jerzy Andrzejewski, Adam Ważyk: several names of importance for Polish culture, gathered together in a single periodical that could have been important to Polish intelligentsia. Not a single issue of that periodical was published, though. The presently published editor’s note to a prepared phototypic issue tells a short story on what happened with the texts from the first issue of Europa monthly which finally remained unpublished. Some of them became circulating among readers, in different political conditions and, sometimes, in an altered version – one example being Ważyk’s poems whose ‘vicissitudes’ are discussed in detail.
