The Issue of Abortion in the Program Assumptions and Textbooks on Religion

Summary/Abstract: The objective of this article is to analyze the following documents: The Basics of Catholic Church Education in Poland and School Program of Teaching Religious Education in the context of protecting human life from the very beginning. The author presents a brief summary of schoolbooks published by the publishing house WAM and analyzes them in the aspect of abortion. The materials are very popular among Religious Education teachers. The summary attempts to evaluate the discussed documents and books and suggests useful tips for the teachers and the authors of the next editions.
