Record keeping in the Archives of Tuzla Canton

Summary/Abstract: Evidential and scientific-information resources should be standardized regulations or guidelines mandatory character and unique to the area of a country, which however is not the case with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Logs are databases that provide basic statistical aggregates in the archives, specifically the Fonds, and their location in one archive. For this reason, they are the basis on which archives have a review and correct information in all what they own and what they ultimately helps to better manage archival materials and meet its obligations to its social environment. Current legislation on archives and archival activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as the one from the socialist period do not indicate clearly enough that the records are archived bound to water. It is also a small number of archives that have rules on record keeping. It is necessary to adopt rules at all levels with a single text to all the archives have the same rules and run the same records. Due to the nonconforming legal framework we have big differences in the functioning of the archives and different record keeping. Difficulties of this kind of work are observed in the program of creation of the archival fonds and collections in the archives of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Some archives already contain all the information and updated guides archival fonds and collections to cases where individual archives should start from the beginning. Archives of Tuzla Canton in 2009 adopted the Ordinance on keeping the registers and records of Tuzla Canton which provides the use of eight different books of records. Using the same and comparison with archive regulations of neighboring states has been found that particular book records should be refined and expanded.
