Summary/Abstract: Article deals with fonds and collections in Historical Archives in Celje which comprise archives created in the period of World War One. There are around 110 such fonds and collections in the Archives of which at least some of the documents were created during the wartime. The most are in the field of administration. The majority of the preserved archives thereof was created in the course of activities related to supplying population, setting prices, controlling the merchants and the flow of goods, distributing the food cards etc. There are also documents related to conscription of men for military service and their life on the frontline, in hospitals and in captivity and the influnce of the presence of thousands of soldiers, wounded and prisorers of war behind the frontlines. Primary schools chronicles are exellent source for all researchers of everyday history during the war. School children were in the midst of many activities carried out in the schools: they were gathering charity (e.g. money, clothes), picking leaves of berries and other plants, collecting metal for industry, distributing flyers, etc. School chronicles preserved many details of everyday life, about the war refugees, about the taking over of school buildings by the army, about gathering the church bells and other metal objects for military purposes, etc. Fonds of judiciary hold the information about the attitude of population at the beginning of war and the way the state authorities dealt with those who didn’t follow the rules regulating supply with goods. There are only few fonds created in the field of economy, health and social wellfare and fonds of associations and religious organisation holding information about the war time. Some can be found in personal and family fonds and in collections, as well.
