Summary/Abstract: The technology credit was put into effect by the Act on supporting innovative activities in 2005. This Act was repealed in 2008 and replaced by a new legal norm of the same rank, without changing the original title, and then significantly revised in 2011. The changing legislative solutions created better possibilities to offer public aid. In 2009-2011 the number of its beneficiaries dynamically increased, yet this trend is rather unlikely to be called positive. Judging from the data from the reviewed period, 145 companies used the technology credit for a total amount of 512.5 million zlotys, of which 328.6 million zlotys were discontinued and the support was much too asymmetric for different regions, which is far from the idea of reducing development disparities.
