Summary/Abstract: Television is still an indispensable means of the knowledge of the world and commercial channels are engaged in cutthroat competition for leadership in the field of information. In accordance with the rules of info-entertainment, who is the first to broadcast information in a more attractive manner, simultaneously reaches the widest audience, and consequently – money. One of the main criteria of attractiveness of such a piece of “information” is its extraordinariness, spectacularity, dramatism, and, more often, brutality, cruelty. Info-entertainment culture is sliding to the bottom and has its never ending festival, being thirsty for shock, sensation and blood in times of unrest, war, escalation of violence and human tragedies. Luckily, there are some journalists who treat their work as a mission, for whom the search for truth or fundamental human decency are basic professional standards.
