Summary/Abstract: Boris Nilević was an extraordinary expert in the late medieval history of Bosnia and the Ottoman period, as well as a favourite professor of the Universities in Sarajevo and Tuzla. He was a member of the Civil Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina, its main organs, and was an election candidate shortly after the war. Not only as a historian and an intellectual, but also as a thinker, Boris Nilević reacted very subtly to reality. Almost as an anatomist he registered every change in the social organism and at the same time finding solutions for what had to be done in order for the society to change and heal.
