Summary/Abstract: Sexual harassment is a form of harassment based on gender and by effects is a part and a mean of persistence of labour gender inequalities. Research of sexual harassment in the workplace carried out by ILFR on the sample of 1041 respondents showed, that more than 66 % of working population in Slovakia have been exposed to some kind of sexual harassment manifestation. Presented study is focused on findings about the most often experienced manifestations of sexual harassment, working position of initiators and reactions of victims. Attitudes to sexual harassment of working population, its reasons and kinds of prevention are complemented parts of findings about phenomenon of sexual harassment in Slovakia. The study is concluded by examples of good practises of prevention and elimination of sexual harassment in the workplace.
