Summary/Abstract: The research was conducted in two directions: period from the Second World War to 1990, fall of communism and socialist system and period from 1990 till today. Those two periods defined development of radio system in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but each in its own way. From April 10, 1945 when Radio Sarajevo appeared in ether till 1990 radio development in BiH was conducted in the frameworks of: Municipality, Labor Universities and Socialist Union. Therefore, nominating directors and editors-in-chief, the state censured radio programme which was conducted mostly in one direction. In that period there existed RTV Sarajevo with information centers in Banja Luka, Tuzla, Mostar, Bihać and 52 municipal-local radio stations which were connected with Radio Sarajevo through linko-connections. Period from 1990 till today is characterized by pluralism in the radio system, uncontrolled development of the radio system (206 radio stations) and thanks to Regulatory Agency for Communication that number is today decreased to 144 radio stations. In 1998 International community took over the control of electronic media in BiH, while printed media were placed under control of the Press Council. Together with the third year students of journalism we analyzed the state in ten public and private radio stations. We got devastating results, about which you can find out more in this article. The situation is the same in other radio stations.
