Summary/Abstract: The authors deal with public opinion in modern world with special emphasis on ways of creating international public opinion and its power in global international relations. In this context, the authors investigate the role of the media and their influence on shaping and changing public opinion. The authors show the power of international public opinion in concrete political and social circumstances but also reveal many opportunities to manipulate international public opinion, behind which the international centers of power and their experts for public relations often stand. The paper analyzes a phenomenon of the so-called mediatized politics, which was created as a response of the political power centers to the growing influence of the media and public opinion.
