Summary/Abstract: After the Second World War Pentecostals are the most growing up evangelical movement. Bulgarian Pentecostal subculture of Tinchevists has similar characteristic. Their "Renaissance" started years before democratic changes (1989) and 1990-1992 marked the culmination of Bulgarian interest in them as expressed by the numerous organized public evangelization meetings, helping thus the increase of their members. One of the reasons for this success is the modern sound of their liturgical music in contrast to that of the East Orthodox Church. Pentecostal musicians use as liturgical songs of their divine service modern melodies close to the pop-music which is rooted in the Western European Protestantism, further developed with mixtures from Jazz and the singing in black churches in USA. This is one of the explanations of the question about the demographic growth of the Pentecostal membership during last 100 years in opposition of all other religions in Bulgaria.
