Summary/Abstract: After the Harry Potter-type of book series, a new approach to young adult literature began to take shape in contemporary youth culture, including Hungarian literature. New book series like Idõfutár (Time Courier) or D.A.C. tried to adapt to the new patterns of communication used by the generation Z in everyday life. The article analyses how new patterns of communication are reflected within the text of contemporary Hungarian novels and also how they transform the discourse of literature itself
