Summary/Abstract: A new dimension in archival practice has begun in the Historical archives of Subotica on september 1, 2013. the “E-archives” project has been launched which enables archival material research online. Two important factors were considered when starting this project: protection of the archival material and the frequency of its usage. after consideration of these factors, we decided to star the project with the digitalization of the church registers. The digital scans have been displayed on http://e-arhiva.suarhiv.co.rs sub domain after relevant processing.
