Summary/Abstract: “William Shakespeare, our contemporary” is the most frequently used phrase to describe Renais-sance playwright’s influence in modern times. His importance, not only artistic and theatrical but at the same time social and philosophical as well might explain how we interpret the phenomena of our global crisis through his work. Namely, from the post-romantic period on theatrical and scientific interest to understand his messages grows rapidly up. In the present paper we discuss some possible answers on complex question how to overcome conventional notions about his plays.
