Summary/Abstract: Archives are very much a neccesity for modern European society, which has entered into a severe crisis in almost all areas of social life, but also more dangerous. They are needed for those who believe in the rule of law, fairness and justice, and dangerous for those who wish to delete their illegal, improper and unjust acts.Unfortunately, people are not aware of this and archives them seem like something of secondary importance. This is well illustrated by the thought that with the Slovenian archival referendum on June 8, 2014, a journalist wrote: “It’s amazing how much time and media space purpose of our policy debates affecting only a few people ... the only way to force the bar to explain how may be weeks or months in the media present a retarded debate about completely irrelevant to the law on archives ... “A general interest in the archive has illustrated participation in the referendum, which did not reach even 12 percent
