Summary/Abstract: The project selection process comes in the first stage of the overall project management life cycle. It does have a very important impact on organization success.The present paper provides definitions of the basic concepts and tools related to the project selection process. It aims to stress the added value of this process for the entire organization success. The mastery of the project selection process is the right way for any organization to ensure that it will do the right project with the right resources at the right time and within the right priorities.
