Summary/Abstract: Reading the legislative activity relating to records management and archives, we get the impression of fixed and regular procedural activities: archive material created by the author, are kept in their depots, after the fulfillment of legal requirements it arrives in relevant archive who issue the data for the needs of the citizens or made it available to those interested n the scientific research. The practice, however, is often different. What should be the exception, is becoming the rule, ie. archival records of the bankruptcy debtor, almost before destruction, arrive to the responsible institution for the protection, incomplete and disordered. Historical Archives in užice fulfilled its obligations in respect of delivered material. At first, the Archive did all this archival material to arrive at the Archives depot and then arranged the documentation in order to provide the citizens data they need for regulation of private legal requirements. Dynamics of fulfillment of this job took the alarming state at one moment. We suspected that we wouldn’t be able to, in addition to regular duties, perform these. Thanks to the engagement of persons, by means of the public works, their training and the work, all 80 funds of bankruptcy debtors, former SOEs (socially owned enterprises), which were received in the Archives, are placed on the shelves in the depot.
