Summary/Abstract: This article aims to briefly encompass the history of communism in interwar Poland, since the foundation of the Communist Party of Poland, in 1918 until its disintegration during The Great Purges from 1936-1938. Based mostly on Polish literature on communism in interwar Poland, the paper overviews the most important moments of the Polish communist movement history, such as the communists during the Polish-Russian war from 1920, “the May 1926 mistake”, when the Party stood for marshal Józef Piłsudski’s coup d’etat etc.
