Summary/Abstract: Material Fund Royal judicial desk in Osijek 1850-1945 The Fund and the Land Registry Office of the Municipal (the District) Court in Osijek 1892 to 1985 was an extremely important cultural treasure of great historical and legal value not only for the State Archives in Osijek, but also for the city of Osijek, and many researchers. Therefore, we took numerous interventions on the acquired material to undo any damage and to prevent their further destruction. The fundamental purpose of protecting the written heritage of extending shelf life in order to be preserved for future generations-it is impossible to fulfill without taking preventive measures. Preventive measures ensure optimal storage conditions, which slow down the natural aging process of the material making up the written heritage. Optimal storage conditions mean exclusion of all adverse effects, proper handling of material, protection during use in the reading room, transportation outside the archives and exhibitions, protection of source archives copying to other media, conservation and restoration of already damaged archives.ARHiNET, network information system for the description, processing and managing archives is designed as a combined monitoring system archives and archives so that the creators of the material your data entries in the same information system as well as the archives of the supervisor. In this way, the National Archives in Osijek monitors and records the fate of his creation, which greatly facilitates the monitoring of the protection material. It is expected that this information system, as well as the current legislation, to prevent such drastic cases of neglect and damage to archives in the archives.
