Protection of the Weaker Party – Comparison between European and Slovak Private International Law

Summary/Abstract: The Article is concerned with the legal status of so called weaker party to the contracts (eg. the consumer, the insured person, the employee) in terms of procedural law and conflict of laws regulation. e emphasis is given to question of legal protection of these groups. Attention is paid to the legal regulation at the supranational level, as well as national level. Both levels are mutually compared and analyzed from doctrinal and practical point of view.
