Cost assessment of the project of the “Żuławy Loop” based on the analysis of the financial and economic effectiveness

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the following article was the confirmation of the viability of implementation of the project called the “Żuławy Loop”. Solving the problem requires an analysis of the available documentation and research conducting. Feasibility study of the project showed a negative profitability of the project at the financial level. No financial feasibility was a reason to refrain from investments. The basic method of assessing the effectiveness of infrastructural projects; where the beneficiaries are public; is the economic analysis. It showed the profitability of the project for the local community. The benefits generated by the investment confirmed the results of own research. The project will contribute to improving the socio-economic situation of the region. Therefore; the implementation of the project was most certainly justified.
