Summary/Abstract: This article presents the analysis of three chapters of Firmicus Maternus’s speech entitled “De errore profanarum religionum” containing informations about myths and cult of Osiris and Attis. The main focus will be on what Firmicus’s work can tell us about role of these two oriental gods in theological pagan discourse in the Later Roman Empire.
