Summary/Abstract: In this article, I discussed the nature and meaning of territorial marketing from theoretical and practical perspective. Selected areas of marketing activity of commune referring to the issues of territorial marketing were presented. The aim of the article is to present a concept of territorial marketing and ways of its use illustrated with an example of specific local government unit. Comprehensive assessment of the effects of marketing activities of self-government administration is difficult due to a problem of objective measurement of its quality, effectiveness and necessity to conduct extensive research of qualitative character. In this article, identification of activities for territorial marketing was performed, with particular emphasis on promotional activities. The research was based on electronic audit and verification of websites.
