The protection of personal data in Smart Metering

Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the issues of legal protection of personal data in Smart Metering. This system is currently implemented in Poland as a pilot system within the concept of the Smart Grid. The measurement data collected by the smart meters of each household are also sensitive personal data. It is necessary to create effective legal protection in this field, which is taking into account all possible risks.
