Summary/Abstract: Tabloidization is a phenomenon which is in the Czech media theory discussed since at least 2000. Most analyzes agree that this phenomenon has both an economic dimension - interest in higher attractiveness for the audience, thus strengthening economic media, but also a political dimension: the tabloid form deformed image of reality, and thus the political atmosphere in the country and public confidence in the media as such.
