Summary/Abstract: Self-government is the most democratic representation of local communities. Since the establishment of the peasant’s political movement, its political motto was: who rules in the community, rules the country. The most extensive and detailed concepts of the structure of local government were provided by the Polish Peasant’s Party in the first years of the existence of the Second Polish Republic.
