Summary/Abstract: The reviewed publication is an outcome of a conference which took place in 2013 in Bydgoszcz and was dedicated to the history of the book and the press in culture. Twenty two researchers from universities and colleges across the country presented their research in the area. The book consists of 19 articles that discuss wide range of issues from ancient to modern times.
