Summary/Abstract: The analysis of ways and means of mythologizing the image of "Father of Nations" J. V. Stalin-Dzhugashvili is carried out basing on the interpretation of the feature film "Kljatva" ("The Vow", directed by M. Chiaureli, 1946). The introduced film analysis contributes to the formation of students' critical thinking, teaches them sensible perception of all-round torrents of information as well as understanding and evaluating of acquired information.
