Synthetic data sources in spatial poverty analysis

Summary/Abstract: The aim of of this article is employing the method of multiple imputation in creating full coverage synthetic data sets in the analysis of spatial poverty differentiation. This ap-proach allows for the creation of estimates with improved accuracy at low levels of spatial aggre-gation, impossible to obtain with the use of the direct estimation. The results were compared with the work carried out by the Center for Small Areas Statistics at the Statistical Office in Poznań with the use of Fay-Herriot model. The point estimates were consistent.
