Summary/Abstract: The summary concerns the issue of the principles of law in the general administrative proceedings. The principles of law and their different meanings in study were brought to attention in this thesis. It was highlighted that the principles of law are not only the object of interest of the detailed fields of study, but also of the theory of law. This is why an attempt has been made in order to apply theoretical-legal methods of formulating principles of law to the field of general principles of administrative proceedings. With regard to the framework of this thesis, the doctrine views of administrative proceedings on the issue of general principles of the Code of Administrative Procedure were presented in a synthetic way, together with the emphasis put on their systematics and functions. The principle of objective truth in administrative proceedings was brought into focus in this thesis. Controversial matters in the field of study were given much attention, in particular the introduced amendment to the principle of objective truth.
