The Influence of IT on the Development of Legal Principles on the Example of the Written Form Principle in Judicial and Administrative Proceedings

Summary/Abstract: Information technology thoroughly modifies legal principles. Especially the rules of hearing the cases, and procedures governing the settlement of disputes are undergoing some changes. Judicial and administrative proceedings receive a new electronic form. That means that many traditional norms have become obsolete. For this reason, additional solutions are necessary. For a long time, there has been a continual process of introducing electronic documents instead of paper ones. It constitutes a unique opportunity to improve the quality of law. First of all, an electronic document is free from the physical constraints of space and time.
