The importance of clusters in times of crisis

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the paper is to examine the importance of clusters in the time of global financial and economic crisis which began in 2007 in the United States. The analysis was done on the basis of theoretical sources and research results from developed countries. Basic research hypothesis assumes a positive impact of the crisis on the activity of cluster structures. The article is divided into two main parts. In the first carried out an analysis of theoretical sources on the topic, in the second part, the author examines the results of research conducted by scientists.
