Contemporary dilemmas of young Roma – a subjective perspective

Summary/Abstract: In this text I want to raise issues, which are rarely discussed in the Roma minority discourse, namely, what dilemmas the current Roma youth elite is facing when they declare a desire to play a significant role both in defining the objectives of state policies towards the Roma, as well as in the implementation of actions for the integration of the Roma community. These dilemmas can be traced with regards to aid projects, scientific research and, which is clearly visible, with implementation of cultural projects. Furthermore, I want to point out the importance of using the potential of young Roma for Roma community as well as for the rest of society.
