Summary/Abstract: The essential difference between ancient versions of the Flood (including the biblical Noah account) is whether mankind brought the cataclysm on itself through immoral behaviour. In a second disaster story of the Tower of Babel, misuse of technology was responsible for the Tower’s failure. Both of these narratives may be represented on a unique Babylonian mappa mundi, which might also show the topography of biblical Eden.
